No Hate Week is a student invented project that originated from a World Savvy Project. A group of six 7th grade students from Mill Valley Middle School thought up this idea as a solution to the large problem that is hate speech.

Hate speech offends, threatens, or insults groups, based on race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or other traits. We have seen hate speech and discrimination of all over sschool, and want to put an end to it. Many people using Hate Speech don't realize it, being uneducated in the subject. Our goal is to educate people in schools everywhere on the negative effects of discrimination. To achieve our goal, we created No Hate Week.

To take part in No Hate Week, Take the Pledge!.Taking the pledge means not say anything homophobic, racist, judgemental, sexist, exclusive, or just all around discriminatory for one week.  Please try to get your school involved!

At the end of  No Hate Week, we'll have a gathering with food and drinks, and discuss the positive effect of the week. Even after No Hate Week is over,  try to continue being kind and not discriminatory.

Take the Pledge! today to get involved in No Hate Week!

                                     Sincerely,

Omar, Grace, Nick, Elan, Jake, and Vivian
